Announcing the 2023 Blue Planet Prize Laureates

Today, we issued a press release announcing the laureates of the 32nd Blue Planet Prize.

The laureates are

Professor Richard Thompson OBE FRS (UK)

University of Plymouth, Director of the Marine Institute, University of Plymouth

Professor Tamara Galloway OBE (UK)

University of Exeter, Head of Ecotoxicology Research Group, University of Exeter

Professor Penelope Lindeque (UK)

University ofHead of Science for Marine Ecology and Biodiversity, Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML)



Professor Debarati Guha-Sapir (Belgium)

Founder Director of the Center for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters (CRED)、Université Catholique de Louvain
Senior Fellow, Centre for Humanitarian Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health



The commemorative lectures by the laureates will be held at the The University of Tokyo on October 5 (Thursday), at the Kyoto University on 7 (Saturday).
