2019 Blue Planet Prize Commemorative Lectures held (Tokyo/Kyoto)

The award recipients delivered commemorative lectures at the University of Tokyo on December 12 and Kyoto University on December 14 respectively.

In the first section, Prof. Eric Lambin presented a lecture on the topic of "Scaling up solutions for sustainable land use" which will be followed by a Q&A session moderated by M.D. Michiko Imai, Guest Professor, Tokyo University of Agriculture; Special Ambassador for Hyogo Prefectural College of Forest Management.

In the second section, Prof. Jared Diamond presented a lecture on the topic of "Environment and History" followed by a Q&A moderated by Dr. Yoshihiro Hayashi, President/Director General, National Museum of Nature and Science, Japan.
